§ 10.1-1244. Recording.

A. An environmental covenant and any amendment or termination of the covenantshall be recorded in every locality in which any portion of the real propertysubject to the covenant is located. For purposes of indexing, a holder shallbe treated as a grantee.

B. Except as otherwise provided in § 10.1-1245, an environmental covenant issubject to the laws of the Commonwealth governing recording and priority ofinterests in real property.
