§ 10.1-1306. Inspections, investigations, etc.

The Board shall make, or cause to be made, such investigations andinspections and do such other things as are reasonably necessary to carry outthe provisions of this chapter, within the limits of the appropriations,study grants, funds, or personnel which are available for the purposes ofthis chapter, including the achievement and maintenance of such levels of airquality as will protect human health, welfare and safety and to the greatestdegree practicable prevent injury to plant and animal life and property andwhich will foster the comfort and convenience of the people of theCommonwealth and their enjoyment of life and property and which will promotethe economic and social development of the Commonwealth and facilitateenjoyment of its attractions.
