§ 10.1-543. Acquisition, improvement and disposition of property.

Districts are authorized to (i) obtain options upon and to acquire, bypurchase, exchange, lease, gift, grant, bequest, devise, or otherwise, anyproperty, real or personal, or rights or interests therein; (ii) maintain,administer, and improve any properties acquired, to receive income from suchproperties and to expend such income in carrying out the purposes andprovisions of this article; and (iii) sell, lease, or otherwise dispose ofany of their property or interests therein in furtherance of the provisionsof this chapter.
