§ 10.1-706. Duties of the Department.

The Department shall:

1. Promote understanding of the value of public beaches and the causes andeffects of erosion;

2. Make available information concerning erosion of public beaches;

3. Encourage research and development of new erosion control techniques andnew sources of sand for public beach enhancement.
