§ 15.2-1114. Auctions; pawnshops; secondhand dealers; peddling; fraud anddeceit in sales; weights and measures.

A municipal corporation may regulate the sale of property at auction; mayregulate the conduct of and prescribe the number of pawnshops and dealers insecondhand goods, wares and merchandise; may regulate or prohibit peddling;may prevent fraud or deceit in the sale of property; may require weighing,measuring, gauging and inspection of goods, wares and merchandise offered forsale; and may provide for the sealing of weights and measures and theinspection and testing thereof.
