§ 15.2-1519. Liability insurance for employees of local departments andboards of welfare and social services; legal representation.

Notwithstanding the provisions of § 15.2-1518, the state Department of SocialServices is authorized to obtain liability insurance for officers andemployees of local departments and boards of welfare or social services. Theattorney for the Commonwealth, city attorney, or county attorney, asappropriate, shall provide whatever legal services are required for any suchofficers or employees sued as a result of their conduct in the discharge oftheir official duties.
