§ 15.2-1723. Validation of certain police forces.

Any police force in existence on July 1, 1980, whose existence is authorizedor was authorized by any provision of law, general or special, that wasrepealed by Chapter 333 of the Acts of Assembly of 1979 is hereby validatedand shall continue. Any police force in existence on December 1, 1996, whoseexistence is authorized or was authorized by any provision of law, general orspecial, that is repealed by this act is hereby validated and shall continue.
