§ 15.2-2251. Local planning commission shall prepare and recommend ordinance;notice and hearing on ordinance.

In every locality the local planning commission shall prepare and recommendthe subdivision ordinance and transmit it to the governing body. Thegoverning body of every locality shall approve and adopt a subdivisionordinance only after notice has been published, and a public hearing held, inaccordance with § 15.2-2204.
