§ 15.2-3535. Advertising of charter.

The governing bodies, or a committee acting for and in lieu of the governingbody under § 15.2-3531, may draft a charter for a consolidated city or atier-city to be adopted as a part of the consolidation agreement. Theadvertising of the consolidation agreement as provided in § 15.2-3537 shallinclude a statement that a copy of the text of the charter is on file in theclerks' offices of the circuit courts of the consolidating localities and isopen to public inspection.
