§ 15.2-3547. Consolidation of entire county requires no action of towncouncil.

An entire county may be consolidated with any county or city having a commonboundary in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this article withoutthe necessity of any action concerning the consolidation being taken by thecouncil of any town situated in such county and without the necessity of aseparate referendum in any such town on the question of the consolidation.
