15.2-3914 - Rejection or adoption of charter at election.

§ 15.2-3914. Rejection or adoption of charter at election.

If the proposed charter is not adopted by a majority of those voting in theelection, an order shall be entered of record accordingly, and no otherelection for any change in the county form of government shall be held withinthree years after the date of the election. If the proposed charter isadopted by a majority of those voting in the election, the special courtshall enter an order accordingly, a copy of which shall be forthwithcertified to the Secretary of the Commonwealth, and two copies, in the formof a proposed bill to grant the charter, shall be certified to one or moremembers of the General Assembly representing the county for introduction as abill in the General Assembly.
