§ 15.2-4109. Declining a grant of town status.

In any proceedings brought under the provisions of this chapter, thegoverning body of the city, may, by ordinance or resolution, decline toaccept eligibility for town status on the terms and conditions imposed by thespecial court at any time prior to twenty-one days after entry of an ordergranting eligibility for town status, or within twenty-one days after denialof a petition for appeal or within twenty-one days after the entry of themandate in an appeal which has been granted.
