§ 15.2-5148. Units may convey property.

Any unit, notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, may transferjurisdiction over or lease, lend, grant or convey to an authority, upon therequest of the authority and upon such terms and conditions to which thegoverning body and authority may agree, such real or personal property as maybe necessary or desirable in connection with the acquisition, construction,improvement, operation or maintenance of a system by the authority, includingpublic roads and other property already devoted to public use.
