§ 15.2-625. Department of public works.

The county engineer, who shall be head of the department of public works,shall be responsible for the construction and maintenance of county roads andbridges, county stormwater systems within public rights-of-way and publiceasements and all other public works. He shall exercise the powers conferredand perform the duties imposed by general law upon the county engineer and inaddition shall perform such other duties as the board imposes upon him.
