§ 15.2-704. Appointment of clerk of board; powers and duties; obligations andpenalties.

The clerk of the board shall be such qualified person as the boarddesignates. He shall be compensated in an amount set by the board and mayemploy such deputies and assistants as the board authorizes. He shallexercise the powers conferred and perform the duties imposed upon suchofficers by general law and shall be subject to the obligations and penaltiesimposed by general law. He shall also perform such other duties as the boardimposes upon him.
