§ 15.2-746. Board possesses general power of management.

The board shall have, possess, and exercise the general management of theaffairs of the county, and, in addition to such powers and duties as aredesignated and imposed by this chapter, shall exercise and perform all of thepowers and duties now authorized or imposed by general law or special act onthe board of supervisors of such county insofar as they are not inconsistentwith the provisions of this chapter. The board shall also have all the powersconferred by general law on city councils.
