§ 15.2-7208. Powers.

The Authority shall have those powers possessed by the City of Bristolnecessary and convenient for the provision of electric, water and sanitarysewer services, and those powers possessed by the Bristol Virginia UtilitiesBoard and the division of the city known as Bristol Virginia Utilities asthey existed on July 1, 2001, in the Charter of the City of Bristol, Virginiaand the general laws of the Commonwealth. The Authority shall also possessall those powers, subject to the limitations and restrictions thereon, asgranted to the City, the Bristol Virginia Utilities Board, and BVU by Chapter479 of the Acts of Assembly of 2002, Chapters 539, 546, and 677 of the Actsof Assembly 2003, Chapter 586 of the Acts of Assembly of 2004, Chapter 258 ofthe Acts of Assembly of 2005, Chapters 607 and 682 of the Acts of Assembly of2007, and Chapters 99 and 323 of the Acts of Assembly of 2008.
