§ 17.1-215. Process book.

The clerk of a circuit court shall keep a process book or file or, in lieuthereof, an automated system, in which the clerk shall enter every suchprocess, order or decree, showing its nature, date, return day and the personto whom, and the time when, it was delivered, or, if it was mailed, the timethereof and the person to whom it was addressed. From any officer, to whomthere is such delivery, the clerk shall take a receipt in the process book orfile or enter the receipt on the automated system.
