§ 17.1-247. When and how clerk to verify his record.

The clerk of every court of record shall verify the accuracy of the recordsmade by him, by a careful examination and comparison with the original papersrecorded, within thirty days after such record is made, and shall note suchverification and the date thereof upon the margin of the record.
