§ 19.2-276. Penalty for failure to attend and testify.

If the witness who is summoned as above provided, after being paid ortendered by some properly authorized person reimbursement for reasonabletravel and lodging expenses as provided in § 2.2-2823 for each day he isrequired to travel and attend as a witness, fails without good cause toattend and testify as directed in the summons, he shall be punished in themanner provided for the punishment of any witness who disobeys a Virginiacircuit court summons.
