§ 2.2-121. Approval of purchase of passenger-type automobile; transfer andvaluation of surplus vehicles.

No passenger-type automobile shall be purchased by the Commonwealth or anyofficer or employee on behalf of the Commonwealth without the prior writtenapproval of the Governor. The Governor may transfer surplus motor vehiclesamong the departments, institutions and agencies, and the Director of theDepartment of Accounts shall determine the value of the surplus equipment forthe purpose of maintaining the financial accounts of the departments,agencies and institutions affected by such transfers.
