§ 2.2-1103. Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services.

Within the Department shall be created the Division of ConsolidatedLaboratory Services (the "Division"), which shall provide certainlaboratory services, including research and scientific investigations, forvarious agencies of the Commonwealth in an efficient, effective andprofessional manner. The provisions of this article shall in no manner limitthe authority and responsibilities of institutions of higher education fromconducting laboratory services, research and scientific investigationsindependently of the Division.
