§ 2.2-1506. Estimates of financial needs of General Assembly and judiciary.

On or before the first day of September biennially in the odd-numbered yearsthe Committees on Rules of the House of Delegates and the Senate shallfurnish the Governor an estimate of the financial needs of the GeneralAssembly for each year of the ensuing biennial period beginning with thefirst day of July thereafter; and the Supreme Court of Virginia shall furnishto the Governor an estimate of the financial needs of the judiciary for eachyear of the ensuing biennial period beginning with the first day of Julythereafter. The Committees on Rules of the House of Delegates and the Senateand the Supreme Court shall transmit to the Governor the estimates of allincreases or decreases.
