§ 2.2-2020. Procurement approval for major information technology projects.

Upon approval of the CIO of the project development proposal involving amajor information technology project that requires the procurement of goodsor services, the agency shall submit a copy of any Invitation for Bid (IFB)or Request for Proposal (RFP) to the Division. The project managementspecialist shall review the IFB or RFP and recommend its approval orrejection to the Secretary. The Secretary, pursuant to § 2.2-225, shall havethe final authority to approve the IFB or RFP prior to its release and shallapprove the proposed contract for the award of the project.
