§ 2.2-2307. Bonds as legal investments and securities.

The bonds issued by the Authority in accordance with this article shall belegal investments in which all public officers or public bodies of theCommonwealth, its political subdivisions, all municipalities and municipalsubdivisions, all insurance companies and associations and other personscarrying on insurance business, all banks, bankers, banking associations,trust companies, savings institutions, building and loan associations, andinvestment companies, all administrators, guardians, executors, trustees andother fiduciaries, and all other persons who are now or may later beauthorized to invest in bonds or in other obligations of the Commonwealth,may invest funds, including capital, in their control or belonging to them.The bonds shall also be securities that may be deposited with and received byall public officers and bodies of the Commonwealth or any agency or politicalsubdivision of the Commonwealth and all municipalities and publiccorporations for any purpose for which the deposit of bonds or otherobligations of the Commonwealth is now or may be later authorized by law.
