§ 2.2-2702. Virginia Arts Foundation Fund.

A. There is created the Virginia Arts Foundation Fund, a special nonrevertingtrust fund on the books of the Comptroller, to be administered by theFoundation.

B. The Fund shall include such funds as may be appropriated by the GeneralAssembly; revenues transferred to the Fund from the special license platesfor Virginians for the Arts program pursuant to § 46.2-749.2:2; voluntarycontributions collected through the income tax checkoff for the arts pursuantto subdivision B 8 of § 58.1-344.3; and designated gifts, contributions andbequests of money, securities, or other property of whatsoever character.

C. All money, securities, or other property designated for the Fund and anyinterest or income therefrom shall remain in the Fund and shall not revert tothe general fund. The Fund's principal shall not be subject to expenditure bythe Foundation.
