§ 2.2-2811. Where bonds filed.

The bonds of all officers and employees of all the departments, institutions,agencies, boards, commissions and authorities of the Commonwealth, except theDepartment of Accounts, shall, after being recorded by the Secretary of theCommonwealth, as required by § 49-12, be transmitted to the Comptroller andbe filed in the office of the Comptroller.

The bonds of all officers and employees in the Department of Accounts shallbe filed in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Nothing in thissection shall be construed to apply to notaries public, nor to commissionersof the revenue, attorneys for the Commonwealth, clerks of courts andtreasurers of the counties and cities who are covered by other sections ofthe Code; nor to other similar officers of a purely local character.
