§ 2.2-3104.1. Exclusion of certain awards from scope of chapter.

The provisions of this chapter shall not be construed to prohibit or apply tothe acceptance by (i) any employee of a local government, or (ii) a teacheror other employee of a local school board of an award or payment in honor ofmeritorious or exceptional services performed by the teacher or employee andmade by an organization exempt from federal income taxation pursuant to theprovisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
