§ 2.2-3315. Citizenship Day and Constitution Week.

The Governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting the seventeenth dayof September as Citizenship Day and September seventeen through twenty-threeas Constitution Week and recommending that they be observed by theCommonwealth with appropriate exercises in the schools and otherwise so thatthe eventful day on which the Constitution of the United States was formallyadopted may forever remain enshrined in the hearts and minds of all citizensand so that they may be reminded on that date annually of the blessings ofliberty that they enjoy by the adoption of the United States Constitution,the Bill of Rights and all other amendments thereto.
