§ 2.2-428. Standards for automated preparation and transmittal of lobbyists'disclosure statements; database.

A. The Secretary shall accept any lobbyist's disclosure statement required by§ 2.2-426 filed by computer or electronic means in accordance with thestandards approved by the Secretary and using software meeting standardsapproved by the Secretary. The Secretary may provide software to filerswithout charge or at a reasonable cost. The Secretary may prescribe themethod of execution and certification of electronically filed statements andthe procedures for receiving statements in the office of the Secretary.

B. The Secretary shall establish a lobbyist disclosure database, available tothe public, from required disclosure statements filed electronically and mayenter into that database information from required disclosure statementsfiled by other methods.
