§ 2.2-715. Respite Care Grant Program established.

Beginning January 1, 2001, any community respite care organization shall beeligible to receive an annual respite care grant in the amount of up to$100,000 for the development, expansion, or start-up operation of adult daycare services or other services that provide respite care to aged, infirm, ordisabled adults. The grants under this article shall be paid from the Fund,as provided in this article, to the community respite care organization. As acondition of a grant, money appropriated from such fund shall be matched bycommunity respite care organization funds (in-kind or cash) earmarked for thedevelopment or expansion of respite care services. The total amount of grantsto be paid under this chapter for any year shall not exceed the amountappropriated by the General Assembly to the Fund for payment to communityrespite care organizations for such year. Only one grant shall be allowedannually for each community respite care organization under the provisions ofthis section.
