§ 21-170. Acquisition and use of pipes, sewers, plants, stations, etc.

Every commission is authorized and directed to acquire, in the name of thecommission but for the cities, counties and towns in whole or in partembraced within the district, by purchase, gift, condemnation or otherwise,and, notwithstanding the provisions of any charter, or ordinance orresolution of any county, city or town to the contrary, to construct,maintain, operate and use such trunk, intercepting and outlet sewers,conduits, pipelines, pumping and ventilating stations, treatment plants orworks at such places, and such other plants, structures, boats andconveyances, as in the judgment of the commission will provide an effectiveand satisfactory method for promoting the purposes of the commission.
