§ 23-100.1. Power to receive gifts, grants, devises and bequests.

The Virginia Military Institute, or its board of visitors on its behalf, uponthe prior written consent of the Governor is empowered to receive, take, holdand enjoy any and every gift, grant, devise, or bequest heretofore orhereafter made to the Institute or its board of visitors for charitable oreducational purposes, and to use and administer same for the uses andpurposes designated by the donor if designation be made, or for the generalpurposes of the Institute if no designation be made.
