§ 23-135.7:7. Advisory Committee continued as Advisory Board.

The Virginia Coal Research and Development Advisory Committee is continuedand shall hereafter be known as the Virginia Coal Research and DevelopmentAdvisory Board. The Advisory Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to theExecutive Director of the Virginia Center for Coal and Energy Research.

1. The Advisory Board shall be authorized to advise on those matters setforth in § 23-135.7:2.

2. Representatives to the Advisory Board shall be appointed by the Board ofVisitors of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

3. The Board of Visitors of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and StateUniversity shall also appoint such other individuals as they deem necessaryto the work of the Advisory Board.

4. Representatives from the Department of Conservation and HistoricResources, the Department of Business Assistance, the Department of Mines,Minerals and Energy, the Department of Labor and Industry, the Virginia PortAuthority, the institutions of higher education, excluding VirginiaPolytechnic Institute and State University, and the Community College Systemshall serve as the Advisory Board.
