§ 23-231.27. Executive director; powers and duties; staff.

A. The Board shall appoint an executive director for the Center who shallsupervise and manage the Center and shall prepare and submit, upon directionand approval by the Board, all requests for appropriations. The ExecutiveDirector of the Center shall be authorized to employ such staff as necessaryto enable the Center to perform its duties as set forth in this chapter. TheBoard is authorized to determine the duties of such staff and to fix salariesand compensation from such funds as may be appropriated or received.

B. Additional staff support for the functions of the Center may be providedupon agreement by Longwood University, Danville Community College, andSouthside Virginia Community College.
