§ 23-50.16:01. Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine-NorthernVirginia Division; authority to create.

The board of visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University is authorized toestablish the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine-NorthernVirginia Division, hereinafter referred to as the Division. If established,the Division shall be operated with areas of program and service emphasis asmay be approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginiapursuant to subdivision 7 of § 23-9.6:1.

The board of visitors shall have the same powers with respect to theoperation of the Division as are vested in the board regarding VirginiaCommonwealth University pursuant to this chapter.
