§ 23-77.1. Authority to sell and convey certain lands.

The rector and visitors of the University of Virginia, with the approval ofthe Governor first obtained, are hereby authorized to sell and convey any andall real estate to which it has acquired title by gift, devise or purchasesince January 1, 1900, or which may hereafter be conveyed or devised to it.The proceeds derived from any such sale or sales shall be held by said rectorand visitors of the University of Virginia upon the identical trusts, andsubject to the same uses, limitations and conditions, if any, that areexpressed in the original deed or will under which its title was derived, orif there be no such trusts, uses, limitations or conditions expressed in suchoriginal deed or will, then said funds shall be applied by the rector andvisitors of the University to such purposes as said board may deem best forthe University.
