§ 23-91.21. Property, duties, contracts, etc., vested in rector and visitorsof University; principal administrative officer of division; powers of boardof visitors generally; title of local administrative officer.

All property, property rights, duties, contracts and agreements of suchdivision are vested in the rector and visitors of the University of Virginia.The president of the University of Virginia, by virtue of his office, shallbe the principal administrative officer of such division. The board ofvisitors of the University is charged with the care and preservation of allproperty belonging to such division. With respect to such division the boardof visitors shall have the same powers as to granting degrees, as to fixingtuitions, fees and charges, as to borrowing money and issuing bonds, as tothe appointment and removal of administrative officers, professors, agentsand servants, and the making of rules and regulations, as are now vested inthem with respect to the University. The title of the chief localadministrative officer of such division shall be fixed by the board ofvisitors.
