§ 24.2-677. State Board to open and record returns; application of Freedom ofInformation Act.

The State Board, on receipt of the certified abstracts of the votes given inthe several counties and cities, shall open the abstracts and record andcarefully preserve them.

The provisions of Chapter 37 (§ 2.2-3700 et seq.) of Title 2.2, the VirginiaFreedom of Information Act, shall not apply to the certified abstracts of thevotes or any other documents used by the Board in ascertaining the results ofany election until the results have been finally determined by the Board.
