§ 25.1-301. Applicability of chapter; purpose.

A. The procedure established by this chapter shall be available for use, atthe election of an authorized condemnor, in connection with the acquisitionof property by condemnation if the use of the procedure is specificallyauthorized by law.

B. It is the intention of this chapter to provide that property may, in thediscretion of the authorized condemnor, be condemned as provided in thischapter before, during or after the construction of improvements thereon.
