29.1-336 - Carrying licenses and certificates; penalty.

§ 29.1-336. Carrying licenses and certificates; penalty.

A. Every person who is issued a hunting, trapping, or fishing license shallcarry the license on his person while hunting, trapping, or fishing. Personswho have been issued such licenses and fail to carry them when required shallbe guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.

B. Any person who is 16 years of age or older and who is (i) required topresent a certificate of completion in hunter education to obtain a huntinglicense pursuant to § 29.1-300.1, and (ii) issued a hunting license bytelephone, the Internet, or other electronic or computerized means, shallalso carry such certificate on his person while hunting.

C. Any person who is 12 years of age through 15 years of age, and is issued ahunting license by telephone, the Internet, or other electronic orcomputerized means, shall carry his certificate of completion in huntereducation on his person while hunting, unless he is accompanied and directlysupervised by an adult who has, on his person, a valid Virginia huntinglicense and certificate if required under subsection B.
