§ 29.1-718. Department's records; fees; exemption.

A. The Department shall maintain a record of any certificate of title itissues.

The Department shall charge seven dollars for issue of each certificate oftitle, transfer of title or for the recording of a supplemental lien.

The Department shall charge two dollars for the issuance of each duplicatetitle and for changes to a previously issued certificate of title which aremade necessary by a change of the motor on the watercraft.

B. Any watercraft purchased and used by a nonprofit volunteer rescue squadshall be exempt from the fees imposed under this section.
