§ 3.2-4102. Membership; terms; quorum; meetings.

The Seed Potato Board shall have a total membership of seven nonlegislativecitizen members appointed by the Governor and subject to confirmation by theGeneral Assembly. The members shall be from the principal potato-growingareas of the Commonwealth and actively engaged in potato production.Appointments to fill vacancies, other than by expiration of a term, shall befor the unexpired terms. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as theoriginal appointments. All members may be reappointed. Members shall beappointed for terms of four years. The Seed Potato Board shall elect achairman and vice-chairman from among its membership. A majority of themembers shall constitute a quorum. The Seed Potato Board shall meet at leastonce each year prior to the beginning of the seed-potato-buying season, atthe call of the chairman, and whenever the majority of the members so request.
