3.2-4215 - Submission to jurisdiction of the Commonwealth; pleadings in English sufficient.

§ 3.2-4215. Submission to jurisdiction of the Commonwealth; pleadings inEnglish sufficient.

A. Any tobacco product manufacturer that produces cigarettes sold or offeredfor sale into or within the Commonwealth shall be deemed to have submitted toand agreed to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Commonwealth for thepurpose of trying any action brought by the Commonwealth to enforceprovisions of this article or Article 1 (§ 3.2-4200 et seq.) of this chapter.

B. In any action brought by the Commonwealth to enforce the provisions ofthis article or Article 1 (§ 3.2-4200 et seq.) of this chapter, sufficientnotice of the action to the alleged violator shall be given by a complaintwritten in the English language. The Commonwealth shall not be required tobear any expense of translating such complaint into another language.
