§ 3.2-5124. Labeling as kosher and halal; penalty.

It is unlawful to label any repackaged food or food product or display oroffer for sale any unwrapped food or food product that represents the food orfood product as kosher or halal without indicating the person or entityauthorizing such designation by providing the name or symbol of the authorityor providing a phone number or website to access the information.

Any person who knowingly violates any provision of this section is guilty ofa Class 3 misdemeanor.
