§ 3.2-5403. Department to cooperate with U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The Department shall cooperate with the U.S. Department of Agriculture inadministration of this chapter to provide for meat and poultry productsinspection programs. These programs will impose and enforce requirements withrespect to intrastate operations and commerce that are at least equal tothose imposed and enforced under the Federal Meat Inspection Act and theFederal Poultry Products Inspection Act with respect to operations andtransactions in interstate commerce; and the Commissioner is directed toadminister this chapter so as to accomplish this purpose.
