§ 3.2-6532. Duplicate license tags.

If a dog or cat license tag is lost, destroyed or stolen, the owner orcustodian shall at once apply to the treasurer or his agent who issued theoriginal license for a duplicate license tag, presenting the original licensereceipt. Upon affidavit of the owner or custodian before the treasurer or hisagent that the original license tag has been lost, destroyed or stolen, heshall issue a duplicate license tag that the owner or custodian shallimmediately affix to the collar of the dog. The treasurer or his agent shallendorse the number of the duplicate and the date issued on the face of theoriginal license receipt. The fee for a duplicate tag for any dog or catshall be $1.
