§ 32.1-34.1. Power to seek and receive donations.

Any health department operating under the provisions of this article isempowered to seek and accept grants, bequests or donations of money andresources from private persons in support of projects conducted under theauspices of the Virginia Health Care Foundation or other preventive orprimary health care projects. A separate fund shall be established so as tosegregate the amounts appropriated and the amounts bequeathed or contributedthereto. No portion of this fund derived from private contributions orbequests and designated for support of Virginia Health Care Foundationprojects shall be used for any other purpose. Any money remaining in thisfund at the end of the biennium shall not revert to the general fund butshall remain in the fund described herein. Interest earned on such moneysshall remain in this fund and be credited to it. Money bequeathed orcontributed to this fund shall not be used to supplant local or stateappropriations.
