§ 32.1-134. Family planning information in hospitals providing maternity care.

Every hospital providing maternity care shall, prior to releasing eachmaternity patient, make available to such patient family planning informationand a list of family planning clinics located in the Commonwealth, unlessmedically contraindicated; provided, however, that any such hospital operatedunder the auspices of a religious institution objecting to distributing listsof family planning clinics on religious grounds shall not be required todistribute them. Such information and lists may include, but need not belimited to, such information and lists as shall be furnished by theDepartment.
