§ 33.1-50. Funds for establishment and maintenance generally.

The roads embraced within the Interstate System shall be established,constructed and maintained by the Commonwealth under the direction andsupervision of the Commissioner with such state funds as may hereafter beappropriated and made available for such purposes, together with suchappropriations as may hereafter be made by any county, city or town in thisCommonwealth and such funds as are now available or which may hereafter bederived from the federal government for such purposes. State funds forrepayment of federal construction advances may be raised by toll facilities,if approved by the Federal Highway Administration.
